The first time I realized there was magic in music was watching my older cousin’s Robert and Sammy play ‘You’re Sixteen’ on the back of parade float in the summer of 1973. It was the first of two definitive musical moments in my life, the other would not come for many years.
There was no real music source growing up, no stereo, just an old tube turn table radio combo that was broken more often than it was working.
My earliest recollections of popular music was when my family still lived in North Bay.
